I first visited an Oliver Bonas store last year – I was in London on a press day and seeing the brand in an actual brick and mortar store and not just on the teeny screen of my phone was still quite a novelty for this Northerner.
Scoot ahead to 2017, and things are looking very different for them up here in Manchester. They tested the waters in late 2016 with a Manchester Piccadilly store. Beautiful for sure, but probably smaller than many of us had hoped. We thirsted for more, and now…we’ve got it.
Last week, Manchester became the proud owner of an absolutely enormous Oliver Bonas. Three floor’s worth in fact. Full dressing rooms for trying on their clothes. Wall to ceiling displays of art and mirrors. Lavish velvet chairs everywhere to take your time over buying gifts. Their “flagship of the North” store has well and truly landed.
(…and is going to be incredibly dangerous for my bank account being so close to my day job!)
I was incredibly lucky to get a sneak peak inside the store before it opened with some of my blogger babes; Sarah at Sequin This and Susie at Old Fashioned Susie. If you’ve not had a chance to pop into the store yet, here’s a taster as to what’s on offer.
*Warning: LOADS OF IMAGES.
So you can see that the new store has got it all!
Accessories. Fashion. Stationery. Gifts. Beauty. Homewares. Furniture. Decorations. Kids.
What I think makes Oliver Bonas a really great addition to Manchester is its inclusivity. It caters to pretty much everyone’s tastes. To the minimalists out there, to the colour-obsessives. To the luxury lovers, to the quirky offbeat amongst us.
If you pop in, let me know what you buy! Hey, even give me a wave because let’s face it, I’m going to be in there all the bloody time.
The new Oliver Bonas store is at 12-14 St Mary’s Gate in Manchester, right next door to the massive Paperchase, towards the top end of Deansgate.
