It’s become a bit of a running joke that I’m an Instagram addict. Actually, if I posted on there as much as I take pictures throughout the day, my feed would be tenfold. Get me to hashtag rehab you guys. But you know, we all have our vices.
So today I’m sharing some of my favourite interiors-related hashtags that you should be looking at, following a really inspiring post from Old Fashioned Susie on her favourites. These are my top picks of those which, for the most part, aren’t that widely used yet, so there’s still chance to be a part of the party!
And keep reading to the end for a chance to WIN a Hashtag light!
Because I live in a pretty non-descript home with regards to architecture, if I see a period property, historic building or somewhere that’s grade-listed, chances are I’m taking a picture of the ceiling. Good to see I’m not the only one. I love this hashtag.
I’m taking back the term ‘geek’ and started using this hashtag loads. It shouldn’t have negative connotations. It’s about nerding out to something that interests you. Join in!
I mean, the fact that colour is spelt the British way is always a bonus in my eyes. But this tag has turned me into a colour convert, always looking for the happy in the everyday. This one was created by the very lovely Lucy over at Lucy Loves Ya.
Because who doesn’t love a good swear word? And who doesn’t love a good bit of art? This hashtag has barely been used but I’d love to see more of this kinda stuff.
Not that I think you can’t make a terrarium on another day of the week, but it’s great to see an influx of green when I check in on this weekly hashtag.
Not all that dissimilar, if you’re looking for new ways to get plants in and around your home, you’ll find plenty of inspo on here.
On my weekend wanderings, I’ve found SO many murals on brick walls lately, and it’s really fuelled my interest for this hashtag, for others who think there is beauty in the raw brick-layer of architecture.
Colours. Patterns. A whole lot of #moreismoredecor (sneaking in another entry there). This hashtag is hardly used, but let’s start filling it up. Maximalists UNITE.
I think we have a tendency to either matchy-match everything, or to decoraqte a room to look completely bonkers. Eclectic is a hard look to pull off but this hashtag has got some killer ideas.
So, why not tell me what your favourite Instagram hashtag is below for a chance to win this gorgeous LED Hashtag marquee light. I love this kind of nerdy interiors and as I’m entering my thirties next month (not flipping out AT ALL), the team over at Litecraft kindly sent me this as an early birthday present.
