I don’t buy much for the house really in the grand scheme of things. I want to. Trust me. That’s why I started my Add To Basket feature on this blog, because I window shop A LOT.
So when I do go out and buy homeware, it’s because I just can’t NOT have it. I’ve done a few haul posts before and got some requests for more, so here are some of my favourite buys from the Summer. And the beauty is, they’re mostly still in the stores if you fancy buying them, they’re all from high street or online brands, and nothing is more than £25. Enjoy!
Dinosaur Wire Sculpture
Anyone who has met me probably knows I have a thing for dinosaurs, so naturally I had been eyeing up this particular model for a while. But finally took the plunge and bought it in the Zara Home Sale. So chuffed. Original price was £30, but I bought it for £15. We’ve named her Tina the Triceratops.
Coral Skull Candle
Another belter from the Zara Home sale, this is definitely going to be one of those candles you have around the house but are NEVER allowed to light because it’s just far too beautiful. Bought for £9.99 – I belive it was originally £15.
Monochrome Striped Bedding
Drool. So much love for this bedding. We probably go to Ikea once a month, but always come out with the same stuff. This time, I couldn’t resist this set, which goes perfectly with the monochrome look I’m going for on our bed, and it is legit the COMFIEST bedding I’ve ever owned, as well as the cheapest at only £25 including 4 pillowcases. Don’t you love when that happens? (Sorry to anyone who’s offended by my non-ironed bedsheets. Life is too short, people!)
The ‘Zoo’ Bench
Progress on the garden has been slow thanks to the inconsistent weather we’ve had, but little projects here and there are starting to make a difference. This bench is SO perfect for the kiddy corner I want to create for Luna. It’s miniature so the perfect size for toddlers and the cast iron at the back is full of animals. Adorable, and only £25 from The Range.
Gold Terrarium
Terrariums are still not going anywhere and I’ve finally jumped on the bandwagon. You can buy them from most places now really reasonably (although I’ve seen some upwards of £100 if you want to really splash out) but this was only £12 from Sainsburys. Bargain!
Concrete Base Lamp
I wrote a full post on this here but couldn’t help but mention it again because I. LOVE. IT. Only £18 from Iconic Lights.
Oversized Clip
When I visited Rose & Grey’s new showroom (read about that here) I picked up one of these gorgeous copper clips for only £5.95. I already have a pegboard in my room (also Rose & Grey – love that store so much) and it fits on there perfectly. It’s ideal for hanging up the latest of Luna’s masterpieces from nursery but on this particular Monday, I needed some positivity postcard inspiration.
Monochrome Framed Prints
It’s no secret that I love Instagram and spend far too much time on there, but I recently won an Insta competition – GET IN! The prize was 5 black and white prints which came in these stunning gold frames. One is a huge frame with a super quirky Batman poster which my hubby adores. It’ slots right into our dark and mooody lounge. And the other 4 prints are in a variety of cute prints which I think would fit beautifully whenever we get around to putting Luna in a ‘big girl’ bedroom. Here are my faves below.
Thanks for reading! Let me know in the comments which ones you like, and what you’ve bought lately!
