Last weekend, I spent an amazing 2 days in Dublin with my mum and sister. I’ve not been to Ireland before and I’ve got to say, I really loved the city.
We drank Guinness, visited a number of adorable bars rich with character, deep woods & antique mirrors, and took pictures of everything stereotypically Irish as us tourists do (so many leprechauns!).
I stumbled across one store called Old World New and it was my idea of interiors heaven.
Remember only last week I spoke of my desperation to get some sort of stag head in the house? They had an entire collection. Have you seen my numerous posts on moustache memorabilia around the house? They had shelves full of tash-tastic trinkets ideal for adding some quirkiness to any home. Do you recall my dedication, if not a little obsessive desire, to get dinosaurs into our home? You guessed it, they had those too.
It was just me.
I wanted everything!
It’s a good job that I only brought one hand luggage for the journey (I am an extraordinaire packer) as if I had a half-empty suitcase, I think I would have gone a bit mental with purchases and I don’think my credit card (or husband) would have forgiven me.
I’m hoping that I will find something similar here in the UK by the time I get around to the “finishing touches” stage with our house, but if not, it may justify another trip over the waters with an empty case in order to do a little home décor shopping.
Do you like my finds?
