Most of you reading this will know that Joe and I were married at Rookery Hall in April, and I genuinely don’t think we could have picked a better wedding venue.
The staff were amazing, the grounds looked beautiful, and generally it was exactly what we were looking for.
After being asked for feedback, I was happy to write a review for their website, and I’m pleased to say it has been published as their Featured Wedding Review. Look, look, there we are!!! You can click here or on the picture below to have a read.
Yes, I gushed to death about how amazing it was, but I do believe in praising good service when you get it. In fact, what I didn’t mention in my review is the personal touches that really made the stay that little bit more amazeballs – and yeah, I don’t use that word often, but it was…AMAZEBALLS.
Wedding review from real brides and today we have Karen & Joe who married at @rookeryhotel #cheshire handpickedhotels.co.uk/Weddings/Weddi…

1. Pillow Menu
To ensure a good night of sleep, the rooms had a Pillow Menu. Don’t like the default pillows? Just call reception and order a new one. Genius.
2. On-Demand Bridal Assistance
As I was a bride, I was given this little box, no bigger than a few inches so it would fit in my pocket. If I needed anything at all, whether it be a bottle of champagne or if I wanted to know whether the room had been set up yet, one push of the button inside and the wedding co-ordinator for the day would be with me. I felt like Royalty with a butler!
3. This view!
Booking the Bridal Suite – or “January” as it’s known there – was such a good decision. You just can’t beat waking up every morning to such a gorgeous view. Sitting in this window and looking out onto the lawn when I was all dressed up to go and walk down the aisle was one of the best (although nerve-racking) experiences of my life.
We’re hoping to go back next year. Joe said that whilst he was waiting for the show to get started, he met a couple who were visiting as it was their wedding venue too and their wedding anniversary. They told Joe that take the trip every year. I think we’d love a similar tradition and hey, at least there’s another couple there with the same anniversary as us! Rookery, we’ll be back.
