Generally, I read a lot of blogs to get ideas and inspiration for decorating the house. I haven’t actually implemented many of them yet, but that’s another story…
And I love finding ways of reusing stuff around the home.
I have so many items lying around that I don’t use or need, but keep around simply because I don’t want to throw them away. I really hate throwing stuff in the bin and if I can’t recycle it or give it away, generally I’ll hang onto it. (I blame Pinterest…)
Currently, I have 4 or 5 pair of jeans that don’t fit me. Like, not even a little bit. I’ve been keeping hold of them, as most women do, in the hope that one day I might fit in to them again. (Dream on Karen…) I think I should probably just send them to charity. But, then I stumbled across this blog post.
Karen (not me, another one) over at The Art of Doing Stuff used the pockets of an old pair of jeans, and a craft hoop normally used for stitching or embroidery, and voila, you have something that not only looks different (and totally awesome in my eyes) on the wall of your office, but it also holds your stationery! You should check out her post to see how she managed it.
I think it’s genius.
If I still don’t fit into my jeans by the time we’ve made an office, I’m definitely going to give this a try. I like the way it’s useful, yet looks like there’s a bum on the wall. I think I could get a good couple of giggles a week out of something creative like this.
