Let’s just say, either Joe or his dad (I’m thinking it must have been one of them) bought these lovely… things.
Seriously, what are they even called? So much for me documenting our home renovation journey! I should make more notes…
Anywho, they have been added onto the top of the gate posts – both at the gate at the front of the driveway, and the gate halfway down the driveway that gives us privacy in the back. As soon as we are lucky enough to get a sunny day, it’ll be my job to paint them. I think it might be a nice task to keep me busy after we’re married whilst we’re waiting a few weeks to go on honeymoon.
I can’t decide whether to match to the colour of the wood it’s been placed on, or match it to the light blue of the front panel fences. I’m also going to repaint the front metal gate. This was given to us (for free, wahey!) from the neighbour. I really don’t like the gold coloured detail and I imagine a silver would look better. What do you think?
