Vote for Karen & Joe to be Wedding of the Year!

Dinosaur Wedding

Something happened a few months ago. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it yet (please use your sarcasm detectors now) but I got married in April!

Just in case it slipped by you, Joe and I had a beautiful Spring wedding (complete with the typical April showers) with a slight twist thanks to a dinosaur theme. You can read all about it by clicking on the Wedding tab up there, or click here.)

To us, it was the perfect wedding.

However, we’re not the only ones who thought it was a bit of alright, and we’ve been nominated for Wedding Of The Year 2013 by Your Manchester Wedding Magazine! How exciting!
Wedding of the year

We’re featured in the magazine, and you can also see us on the website!

So what does this mean? Well, if we get the most votes in this round, we get put through to the final with a chance to win the overall title of Wedding Of The Year, as well as a weekend at Rookery Hall – which just so happens to be where we got married.

We’re looking to go back to Rookery for our first wedding anniversary (I know this is a while off yet but we do like to plan!), but if we won and got all the spa treatments and fancy meals that come with the prize…well, that would just be the icing on the cake for us.
Wedding of the year

So, I’m asking for your votes, which can be submitted up until 23rd August.

You can vote by going to the website HERE and clicking the button by our names – no sign ups or logins necessary. Just the click of a button!

Thanks so much to all of our friends and family who have done so already, but if you think our wedding looked good, we’d appreciate your vote too! I’ll keep you posted if we win the round 🙂

  • Done! Ooh, I didn’t realise it was a Handpicked Hotel, they are just gorgeous! We stayed in one down south the night before and after our honeymoon abroad, but we class it as part of our honeymoon because it was so lush!

I hope you and Joe win!xx

    • Karen

It really was amazing. And my sister-in-law got married in another Handpicked Hotel too – they’re lovely!

Thanks SO much for voting! 🙂 x

  • Vote cast – you deserve the prizes, so good luck!!

(We very nearly had a Lovely Love Story as a reading too!!)

      Thank you SO much!

Aw it’s a lovely reading. It just fitted so well with our theme, we couldn’t resist! What readings did you have in the end? 🙂 xx

      • We had the Ogden Nash “I do , I will, I have” as a recording by my brother who missed the wedding by a week as he was stuck in Afghanistan – it was great as he has a terribly Radio 4 type accent! Then my mum also did a recorded reading (she wasn’t well enough to come) which was called ‘Maybe’. And Oly’s dad read ‘Union’ by Robert Fulghum. I spent HOURS finding the right readings and loved them all!! x

  • Voted! Hope you win so much – it was definitely the wedding of the year! 🙂

    • Karen

Aw thank you so much! Oh you should totally take that honeymoon! I think you’ve waited long enough 🙂 x
