Adapting to change

The world hates change, yet it is the only thing that has brought progress – Charles Kettering.

So i’m going through my monstrous to-do list.
Joe is carrying on attacking the house today and I’m at the flat tidying. Seems a bit futile since we should be packing stuff up by now. But I’m taking this week to finish changing our address on everything. There are many checklists out there with advice, but if anyone could let me know if I’ve left anything off, I’d be very grateful!

  • Council tax
  • Bank
  • Electorate Roll
  • Mobile Phone
  • Loyalty Cards (Tesco, Nectar, Boots)
  • DVLA
  • Car insurance
  • TV Licence
  • Sky/Broadband
  • Inland Revenue
  • National Insurance
  • Subscriptions (magazines)
  • Find a new dentist/doctor
  • Change Gas/Electric/Water

  • I THINK you have everything there. Assuming you have all house insurance sorted etc? You MAY find that you get a large payback from your utilities provider, or, on the other end of the spectrum, they could send you a large closing bill. Be prepared for this – as we moved in winter, our bill was an extra hundred! xxx

    • Cheers Char!
Yeah our insurances don’t kick in until we our mortage begins when we move in, and they’re all sorted with the new address. Our E-on bill at the flat is going to be truly monstrous but I’m prepared. Going to get some stuff on eBay this week for a clearout. Hopefully that will help! 🙂 xx
